Pronounced "Go-zuh". Gose ales are tart. They're salty. They smell like an ocean breeze, with coriander. Sour beer comes in many varieties, which have been refined over the decades in Germany and Belgium, where sour beer has long been popular. Other than Gose there's the light and tart Lambic beer, the fruity Flanders brew and the lemony wheat beer Berliner Weisse. You either love 'em or hate 'em.
