The Czech lands have had a complicated history, but through all the turmoil and changes, the Czechs have been steady brewers, making good use of excellent Moravian barley and Bohemian hops. Czech beers are typically pale lagers of pilsner type, with characteristic transparent golden colour, high foaminess and lighter flavour. According to Wikipedia, the Czech Republic has the highest beer consumption per capita in the world!
